So today on InkedFreedom, I will talk about some must-have budget gadgets that you should have to make the experience of traveling, even better. I know, for some people out there, traveling itself is interesting, but it isn’t a sin to make the experience of traveling even better with some budget gadgets out there.
So, without any further delay, let’s get started with the list.
Earphones with active noise cancelation
Well, if you travel a lot, a pair of earphones might already be there in your bag. Listening to songs make everyday travel a little more comfortable, and if you love enjoying music on the go, get a pair of earphones with active noise cancelation technology. There’s a reason, why I will recommend noise cancelation earphones.
It will suppress a lot of external noise, and if you are enjoying music on your smartphone, like most others, you can also receive calls and there will be a minimum disturbance in the conversation. Earphones with noise cancelation are quite affordable nowadays, and you can always get one with the best level of active noise cancelation that fits your budget.
Portable Wi-Fi hotspot
If you travel a lot really and sometimes have to use your gadgets, say, your smartphone, and laptop at the same time, it is better to get a portable Wi-Fi hotspot. That will offer better internet connectivity to all your devices without taking a toll on your smartphone’s battery when you are sharing the smartphone’s internet.
I know, portable Wi-Fi hotspots in most cases are tied to one carrier, that shouldn’t be an issue if you are satisfied with your carrier’s services in your area. However, you can get one from brands like TP-Link or Tuzker that support multiple carriers. These are quite cheap these days, and you should get one if you are into traveling, and use the internet for anything and everything.
Portable TV Stick
If your traveling involves staying in hotels, most of them these days are equipped with LCD televisions. When you are traveling to a different Indian state, or anywhere else, there can be chances that you cannot watch your favorite channels. Here's when a portable TV Stick can be handy.
Just plug it in the HDMI port and you can enjoy your favorite shows on several OTT platforms or YouTube. So start building your watchlist, and enjoy them with bliss during hotel stays. I will recommend the Fire TV Stick, as the size is just over a Pen drive, and you can easily fit it within your travel bag, but you can also choose a different one if you want to.
Smart Padlock
If you have the habit of losing your keys quite often, a smart padlock can come in handy. While staying in a hotel or traveling, you can use the padlock to lock your bag that has your precious belongings, or you can even lock your room if you are going out temporarily leaving it. With a smart padlock, you can set the key with a smartphone app.
You can also have additional functionalities depending upon which model you get. A decent smart padlock will be slightly more expensive than most other gadgets on the list, but it will be worth every penny, if you travel a lot, and have to stay in hotels every now and then, with maximum peace of mind.
Power Bank
Well, that was a long list of electronic gadgets to carry while traveling. Hope you have a little more space in your bag, as you need to power these gadgets. You can carry the stock power bricks, but if you are looking for one size that fits all, carry a power bank. With a power bank, you can charge your smartphone, Wi-Fi Hotspot, earphones, and other devices that you are carrying.
Just go for a power bank with adequate capacity within your budget, and never run out of power during long trips. A power bank can also be handy if you want to charge your devices sitting in comfort at a hotel, and a wall outlet is not nearby. A power bank is a must-have gadget for almost everybody out there.
Depending upon the purpose of your voyage, you can carry some other essentials like a laptop, to work on the go, a tablet, or anything else that adds to your convenience. You can carry a Bluetooth speaker, which is also optional. But the 5 things that I have mentioned here are must, when you are planning to travel, for whatever reason.
