How to open the Task Manager on Windows 11

Windows 11 is not just a minor iteration to Windows 10, as it has baked in a plethora of under-the-hood changes, which also invited criticism. However, if you are new to Windows 11, which everybody is, by the way, opening the Task Manager is something that we need to do every now and then. 

Unlike Windows 10, or the most previous versions of Windows, it is no longer possible to open the Task Manager by right-clicking upon the empty space in the taskbar. Way 1:

The simplest way to open the Task Manager on Windows 11 is to use the ‘Ctrl + Shift + Esc’ key.

Way 2:

The other way is to use the ‘Ctrl + Alt + Del’, and click on ‘Task Manager' to open the same.


Way 3:

However, if you used to open the Task Manager by right-clicking in the empty part of the taskbar, the option is no longer available on Windows 11 by default. You can just configure the Taskbar settings from here, as I just said.


Instead, right-click on the Start button, and then on the ‘Task Manager’ in the menu to open the Task Manager.
