It is always advisable, for obvious reasons, to change login pins and passwords frequently. How frequently you should change all these, totally depends upon how important the account is, or how sensitive the information contained is! In the same world, sending money is just a few taps away, thanks to UPI or Unified Payments Interface. 

As a matter of security, these UPI apps are protected at the core with the UPI pin, which needs to be entered every time you want to check your account balance or send money. So, it is also important to change the UPI pin, at least once a month. So, today I will talk about how to change UPI pin without debit card.

How to change UPI pin number in Google Pay?

It is very easy to change UPI in Google Pay. To change UPI pin in Gpay, or Google Pay, simply open the app, and tap on the profile icon, as shown in the screenshot below.

Now, tap on the ‘Bank account’ icon.

In the next step, choose the specific bank account to change UPI pin in Gpay, if you have added multiple accounts.

Now, tap on the triple-dot icon, and tap on ‘Change UPI PIN’ to finally change UPI pin on Google Pay.

In the next step, type in the old UPI pin. Hope you already know it. After you type in the PIN, tap on the tick mark.

In the next step, type in the new UPI pin that you want to set, two times, just like you need to enter a password twice, to set it. 

So, that’s how to change UPI pin in Google Pay. So, if you had the question is it possible to change UPI pin in Google Pay without a debit card, it is possible, obviously, as long as you remember the old pin.

How to change UPI pin in BHIM app?

Now that you know how how to change UPI pin in Gpay, you can easily change UPI pin in BHIM app too.

After you open and log in on the BHIM app, tap on the ‘Profile’ icon to open the tab. Now tap on the bank account to change UPI pin in BHIM for that bank account. 

Now, tap on the small down icon in the bank account number, and tap on ‘Change UPI Pin’.

The consequent steps to change UPI pin in BHIM app is the same as that of Google Pay. Enter the old pin to authenticate, enter the new pin two times and you are ready to go.

How to change UPI pin in Amazon Pay?

Now that you know how to change Google Pay UPI pin, and BHIM UPI pin, one more popular payment app is Amazon Pay. So, now I will talk about, how to change UPI pin in Amazon Pay.

Simply open the Amazon app, and navigate to Amazon Pay by tapping on ‘Amazon Pay’ from the hamburger menu.

In the Amazon Pay section, tap on ‘Amazon Pay UPI’, as shown in the screenshot below.

Here, you can find the list of linked bank accounts. Tap on the triple-dot, and then tap on ‘Change UPI PIN’ to change UPI pin in Amazon Pay.

How to change UPI pin in Paytm?

Paytm used to be the most popular app, and is still a very popular super-app today. So, it is worth knowing, how to change UPI pin in Paytm. Let’s have a look at it.

It is a little complicated. But I am here to guide you through the process of how to change UPI pin for Paytm. Simply open the app, and tap on the hamburger icon. Now, tap on ‘Payment Settings’ from the menu.

In the ‘Payment Settings’ page, tap on ‘UPI & Linked Bank Account’.

Now, you should find a list of bank accounts connected to your Paytm. To change UPI pin on Paytm, tap on ‘Change PIN’.

As usual, the next steps to change UPI pin in Paytm is same as the process of changing UPI pin on other apps or Gpay, which I have used throughout this article as a reference. So, that’s how to change UPI pin in Paytm without debit card.

One noteworthy fact is, if you change the UPI pin in one app, the UPI pin will be changed across all the other apps, where the same bank account is linked. Say, for example, you change the UPI pin on Gpay, it will be changed on BHIM or Paytm too, if the same bank account is linked to all the apps.
