I don’t know how useful, reacting to messages on WhatsApp or Facebook messages is, but if you ever desired to do so, you can react to messages on WhatsApp, now. So, today on InkedFreedom, I will talk about how to react to WhatsApp messages. Presently it is only possible to give reactions to messages, and you can’t do that with WhatsApp statuses. This is something to take note.

How to react to WhatsApp messages? Can you react to messages on WhatsApp?

You can react to both incoming and outgoing messages on WhatsApp. To get started, simply open the chat to react to the WhatsApp message. 

After you are there, long tap on an existing message and a pop-up will appear, where you can send 6 different types of reactions to a WhatsApp message.

Just look at the screenshot to have an idea of the different emoji reactions you can send.

You can react to both individual user chats and to group chats on WhatsApp. Currently, it is only possible to react to one message at a time.

Unfortunately, the feature is currently available to smartphones, and if you are habituated to using WhatsApp Web, it is yet not there for you.

Furthermore, to avail of this feature, you should be a WhatsApp Beta tester. If you are already a beta tester, you can react to WhatsApp messages. If you are not a beta tester yet, you can have the feature only after it is publicly available, as the beta testing slots are currently full. The option to enroll in the beta program is not available right now.
