How to remove a follower on Instagram? Remove multiple followers one by one.

If you need to remove 3 or more followers at a time, follow the steps below to remove multiple followers from one place.

Step 1.1: Open Instagram, and sign in with your credentials, if you haven’t already, tap on the profile icon on the bottom right corner of Instagram. At the top, you will find the followers count, and the number of users who follow you. Tap on the ‘Followers’ count.


Step 1.2: Review the list of users who follow you, and tap on ‘Remove’ corresponding to the follower you want to remove.


Step 1.3: You will have to confirm the process by tapping on ‘Remove’.



How to remove a follower on Instagram by visiting the follower’s profile?

If you want to remove just one follower, you can simply do that by visiting their profile manually. Here’s how to remove a follower on Instagram from their profile.

Step 2.1: On visiting the profile of the follower, tap on the triple-dot icon, and then tap on ‘Remove follower’.


Step 2.2: Hence tap on ‘Remove’ to confirm the process.


Now, the other user is no longer following you. Once you know how to remove a follower on Instagram, you should make sure they aren’t leaking into your list of followers, every now and then.

While the follower will not be informed about the activity, they can still follow you again by visiting your profile, or from other places on Instagram.

If you want to make sure the specific user doesn't follow you back again, without blocking him, you can switch to a private Instagram account as long as yours is NOT A BUSINESS ACCOUNT.

That way, any user who wants to follow you, can't do that right away. They will have to request to follow you, and you need to approve the request. That way you will be notified every time someone wants to follow you.
