How to create a playlist on YouTube Music? Create a YouTube Music playlist effortlessly from mixes and searched songs

Choices may vary, but YouTube Music is my place to consume music content. There are several reasons why I like YouTube Music over any other audio streaming platform, and that’s not the topic I will discuss today here. However, one reason why I love YouTube Music, and that will be relevant to the topic is, that YouTube Music offers curated playlists called Mixes, based on the songs we like, or listen to, the most.

Even if you search for a song on the platform, a mix will be created containing songs that you might like, and those songs will be played next. If you end up liking the whole mix, today I will discuss how to create a YouTube Music playlist so that you can listen to your favorite songs anytime anywhere, as long as you are connected to the internet.

So, without any delay, let’s get started with how to create a playlist on YouTube Music app.

Create a YouTube Music playlist from mixes

If you are familiar with YouTube Music, you already know about mixes. Currently, you can create a playlist on YouTube Music app from any YouTube Music mix.

Simply, long tap on a preferred playlist, and then tap on ‘Add to playlist’.

Now, you can choose any of the previous playlists to append the songs in your preferred mix to the selected playlist. Alternatively, you can tap on ‘New Playlist’ to create a new playlist and add all the songs in the mix to the newly created playlist.

Now, name the playlist, and you can alternatively add a description too. Furthermore, you can set the privacy from Public to Private or Unlisted. But you can go with the default privacy mode. After you are done, tap on ‘Create’.

So, that’s how easy it is to create a YouTube Music playlist from any of the mixes offered by the platform.

Create a playlist on YouTube Music by searching for a song

If you search for a song on YouTube Music, you can not just find that song, but YouTube Music will play additional songs next to that song that you might like. If you end up liking all the songs played next, you can create a playlist here, as well.

While playing the song of your choice, tap on ‘Up Next’.

Here, you can find the song that is being currently played and the next songs that will be played. Simply tap on the ‘Save’ button.

You can instantly find the option to either add the songs to an existing playlist or create a new playlist, just as I discussed above.

How to find playlists on YouTube Music?

Once added to existing playlists, or you have created a new playlist on YouTube Music, you can find it under the ‘Library’ tab, and then by tapping on ‘Playlists’.

So, that’s how easy it is to create a YouTube Music playlist on the YouTube Music app. The options are similar even if you consume music on the YouTube Music website. There are several advantages of creating playlists on YouTube Music. The biggest advantage is, that you can listen to the songs at any time. Furthermore, you can also download the whole playlist and can listen to the songs, even when you are offline. Offline playback can make a boring trip with no connectivity far more enjoyable.

So, that’s a basic guide on how to make a YouTube Music playlist on the app with the songs that appear while you search for songs or from the mixes. Do you have any questions? Feel free to comment on the same below.
