Build a calendar in Google Sheets web and app

Open Google Sheets, and log in with your regular Google account. Even if you are not a Google Sheets user, you can easily create the calendar as long as you have a Google account.

Now that you have logged in to Google Sheets, you can find a handful of templates for different purposes. Here you have to select and click on ‘Annual Calendar’.

By default, you will get the current year calendar, or the 2022 calendar, as it is 2022 while writing the article, but you can simply change the year to see the magic.

Just change the year to 2023 to build a calendar in Google Sheets for the year 2023.

You can get a hard copy of the sheet, and the calendar of the year as per your choice will be with you. You can also save the calendar as a PDF file on your computer if you want.

Here, you can also add monthly events using the tabs corresponding to the months. There isn't enough space to add multiple appointments, however, you can effortlessly add holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, and similar other events.

Customize the calendar on Google Sheets

While there aren’t enough options for customization, you can change the theme colors, font style, and similar other elements.

Click on ‘Theme’ from the ‘Format’ button in the menu bar, and select the theme of your choice.

Just go ahead with the theme based on your likeness.

So, that’s how to build a calendar in Google Sheets. Based on your work and list of holidays, you can also mark the weekends and holidays red, or do other effortless changes to make the calendar suit your exact needs.
