How to send WhatsApp messages on Android without saving contact and without any third-party app

We often come across situations when we need to send messages on WhatsApp to a person who is not on our contact list. WhatsApp is a more practical solution compared to SMS because we can easily send invoices, photos, videos, or any other multimedia file in a jiffy. If we need to contact that person just once, it doesn’t make enough sense to save the contact.

But most people usually save the number or perhaps use different apps to send messages to the person without saving the number. However, you can skip saving the number, and keep away from using any shady app to send WhatsApp messages without saving the contact. The process is easier than you might think.

So, without any further delay, let’s get started with how to send WhatsApp messages without saving the contact, and without using any third-party apps.

How to send WhatsApp messages without saving the contact

Get started by opening the browser of your choice, on your Android, and in the address bar, type in the following format as the URL.

wa.me/[country_code][10_digit_mobile_number]

To make things simpler, let me explain it with an example. If I want to send a WhatsApp message to the number ‘9876543210’, which is an Indian number with the country code ‘+91’, here’s what you should write in the address bar, and tap on the ‘Go’ button. Ignore the colors, as that is simply for an explanation.

wa.me/+919876543210

Now, based on your browser settings, you will get an option to open WhatsApp with the number that is mentioned in the URL.

If you can’t get the ‘Continue’ button as shown in the screenshot below, tap on the ‘Continue chatting’ option, and you will instantly be redirected to WhatsApp to start the conversation.

However, if the number that is entered in the URL, is not on WhatsApp, you cannot send a message to that person, which is quite obvious.

Most shady apps that are available on the Play Store offer the same functionality, at the cost of unnecessary permissions, which is not acceptable. Even if that is not the case, for certain good ones, those apps come with ads, which at the end of the day, ruin the experience of using WhatsApp. So, it’s better to not use any third-party app for the purpose of sending WhatsApp messages without saving the contact.

So, that’s how simple it is, to send WhatsApp messages without saving contact and without using any third-party app. Do you have any questions? Feel free to comment on the same below.
